Charleston, SC, October 9, 2003—Daniel R. DeVos, President and CEO of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) and Representative Henry Brown (R-01) attended the opening of CTC's newly expanded Charleston, South Carolina office today.
CTC's Charleston office supports projects primarily in the area of Information Technology including Web design and hosting, Unexploded Ordnance, and Weapons of Mass Destruction. It supports state, federal, private, and Department of Defense organizations, including the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Critical Infrastructure Protection Center for Homeland Security.
The Charleston office originally opened in 1999 with two employees at the Charleston Naval Base Regional Development Center. As business increased, the office expanded its staff to 12. With this growth, additional office space was required, so the office at 4055 Faber Place Drive, North Charleston, has grown from its original 1,160 square feet to 4,220 square feet. In addition to office space to accommodate expanded staff, the new office has additional conference space, security infrastructure, and has the ability to expand further based on the future needs of the office. The staff is expected to further expand to 18 by the end of the year.
CTC is an independent, nonprofit, applied research and development professional services organization providing management and technology-based solutions to a wide array of clients representing state and federal government as well as the private sector. Established in 1988 CTC, headquartered in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, operates from 34 locations throughout the United States with a staff of approximately 1,200 employees.
