CTC Establishes the Solid Waste Technology Innovation Center

March 7, 2006

JOHNSTOWN, PA, March 7, 2006—Daniel R. DeVos, President & Chief Executive Officer of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) today announced the opening of the Solid Waste Technology Innovation Center (SWTIC) at its offices in Largo, Florida.  The mission of the SWTIC is to transfer solid waste technologies into the public and private sectors through information exchange and demonstration, and to provide cost-effective solutions to complex solid waste issues as companies address stringent compliance regulations set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency.  CTC will leverage its significant capabilities and highly experienced staff to provide technical assistance to client companies.

The SWTIC is a collaboration of industry, academia, and Government and was established to transition solid waste technical information into the mainstream user community.  The SWTIC officially opened in February 2006.

“I am proud of CTC’s track record in the solid waste technology arena within the Department of Defense and how we are transitioning this expertise beyond the Federal Government.  With the recent impact of natural disasters on our country, the SWTIC can assist in the effective recovery and recycling of the massive debris,” said DeVos.

CTC is an independent, nonprofit, applied research and development professional services organization providing management and technology-based solutions to a wide array of clients representing state and federal government as well as the private sector.  CTC employs over 1,400 employees at more than 35 locations.  For more information about CTC, please visit www.ctc.com.
