June 1, 2007
Johnstown, PA, June 1, 2007—Daniel R. DeVos, President & CEO of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) today announced that CTC has been listed by WashingtonTechnology magazine for the first time in its “Special Report – Top 100 Government Contractors,” May 14, 2007 issue.
For this 14th annual ranking, WashingtonTechnology expanded its research to look beyond strictly information technology (IT) contractors, and to consider contractors who provide professional, engineering, and management support services, as well as test, analysis, and research work in areas such as defense, aerospace, and the environment.
CTC is listed under the Professional Services industry sector. Additional sectors include Communications Equipment, Consulting, Defense, Engineering Services, Hardware, IT Services, Research, Satellite Communications, Systems Integration, Telecommunications, and Value-Added Reseller. Companies were evaluated on how they solve customers’ problems, support critical missions, decrease costs, and provide technology-rich products and services to the federal government.
“WashingtonTechnology’s recognition of CTC as one of the Top 100 federal prime contractors is true testament to CTC’s growing national reputation based upon our commitment to excellence in meeting the needs of our clients,” said DeVos. “We are pleased to be included in this prestigious Who’s Who that is recognized by key government and industry officials and professionals.”
There is no self-submission process for the Top 100. According to the publication, the rankings are generated by an analysis of data from the Federal Procurement Data System. Once data is obtained, Federal Sources, Inc., the market research partner on the project, contacts companies and verifies the information.
WashingtonTechnology is described as the national magazine for government contractors and focuses on the business of delivering technology and services to government, with an integrated media platform that serves the information needs of over 40,000 government contractors, systems integrators, resellers, value-added resellers, and IT service providers. The magazine’s “Special Report – Top 100 Government Contractors” annually is its most read issue.
CTC’s core capability areas include Advanced Materials and Manufacturing; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR); Force Readiness; and Energy and Environmental Sustainability.
