CTC's Dr. Quah Lectures on Energy Security at West Point

March 5, 2008

CTC’s Michael Quah, Ph.D., Executive Director, Energy & Environmental Sustainability, Strategic Initiatives, delivered a two-hour lecture on “Energy Security…Different Vulnerabilities Based on Our Two Diets in Energy,” at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, on February 26, 2008.  Dr. Quah made his presentation to a senior class of West Point Cadets as part of the Advanced Technology Seminar in the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering—the first engineering department established in the United States.  Following the lecture, General Paul Kern (Ret.), who holds the West Point Class of 1950 Chair of Advanced Technology, presented Dr. Quah with a West Point Commemorative Plaque and an Academy Coin in recognition of this and other lectures he has presented at the USMA in the past.  Dr. Quah has also delivered several lectures at West Point on broad national and international energy issues prior to his joining CTC.
