For the third time, the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has honored a Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) employee as a Safety Professional of the Year for the Public Sector Practice Specialty (PSPS).
Chaffin is a long-time ASSP member and contributor, serving as a previous Pensacola Chapter President, past Public Sector Administrator, and various other roles within the Public Sector Advisory Committee. He has also contributed to practice specialty initiatives, including co-authoring and publishing technical articles in national publications and presenting at the annual Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association Safety+ symposium. Each year, Chris is one of the few Advisory Committee members who is able to help represent the PSPS at ASSP’s annual professional development conference, participating in PSPS meetings and networking events.
“We are proud of and grateful for Chris’s long-time and impressive contributions to the national safety community,” said Linda Byrnes, Manager, Safety and Occupational Health Services at CTC. “He is an important member of CTC’s active and highly qualified group of safety professionals, who continuously exceed our clients’ expectations.”
Both Lori Schroth, Senior Safety and Environmental Professional, and Brandon Hody, Safety and Occupational Health Professional, have previously earned the ASSP Safety Professional of the Year Award.
