CTC Contributes to International Friction Stir Welding Symposium in Japan

Kevin Colligan, Senior Principal Advisor Engineer at Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), recently presented at the 13th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding (FSW) held in Kyoto, Japan. This prestigious event brought together professionals from around the world to share and advance scientific and technical knowledge related to FSW.

The three-day symposium welcomed 130 attendees representing approximately 70 companies and universities from 17 different countries. The event was sponsored and supported by the Joining and Welding Research Institute and Osaka University, emphasizing the global importance and collaborative spirit of the FSW community. 

In addition to being invited to a small dinner of international researchers, Colligan had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art research facilities at Osaka University, one of the leading institutions for FSW research worldwide.
