Congratulations to Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) Board of Directors member Joseph Yakovac on his recent induction into the 2024 U.S. Army Acquisition Hall of Fame.
U.S. Army Lieutenant General (Retired) Joseph Yakovac was honored on October 15, 2024, at the AUSA 2024 Annual Meeting & Exposition.
The induction ceremony included this about Yakovac:
“For exceptional leadership, selfless service, and enduring contributions to Army Acquisition, Lt. Gen. Joseph Yakovac is hereby inducted into the 2024 Class of the U.S. Army Acquisition Hall of Fame. Lt. Gen. Yakovac was instrumental in delivering capabilities to the field in his work with PEO for Ground Combat Systems and development of the acquisition workforce at large when he served as the Director, Army Acquisition Corps. Lt. Gen. Yakovac’s focus was always on people, programs, and processes. He worked to instill a culture that encouraged people to work together across various domains and provided exemplary leadership and mentorship, developing future technical and acquisition leaders. His profound and enduring contributions supporting the nation reflect great credit upon the U.S. Army and honor the Army Acquisition workforce.”
Lt. Gen. Yakovac’s career spans more than four decades, during which he led, managed, and provided strategic guidance for U.S. Army tactical units and Department of Defense (DoD) research, development, production, and fielding activities. As a certified program manager, he oversaw a wide array of major Army programs, including the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Abrams Tank, Stryker vehicles, Future Combat Systems, and unmanned systems. His leadership extended to Command, Control, Communications, and Computer (C4) systems and Army logistics, with responsibility for over 40,000 DoD civilian acquisition professionals and 1,500 Army Acquisition Corps officers.
