With Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) employees in key industry positions, the company continues to lead the way in shaping the nation’s organizational safety standards. For nearly four years, CTC has served as a representing organization of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) standards committee, Z16 - Safety and Health Metrics and Performance Measure.
In March 2022, with CTC listed as a represented organization, ANSI officially published ANSI/ASSP Z16.1-2022, Safety and Health Metrics and Performance Measures. The ANSI/ASSP Z16.1 standard provides a means for organizations to measure their safety and health management system. This standard is aimed at helping organizations better understand and improve safety and health performance and evaluate its impact on operations and business success.
Brandon Hody, Senior Safety and Occupational Health Professional, is CTC’s primary representative to the Z16 committee; and Lori Schroth, Senior Safety and Environmental Professional, is the alternate representative. They serve as subject matter experts, assisting with the review and approval of revisions, additions, and deletions from the ANSI/ASSP Z16.1 standard.
Hody’s and Schroth’s efforts place CTC in a position to contribute to the overall advancement of safety and health management systems, to help organizations better measure performance of systems and operations, rather than solely injury and illness records.
