A Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) project has been featured in the national trade publication DoD CorrDigest.

CTC conducted research and development for the U.S. Army to find new coating materials to reduce corrosion on steel pumps in the Central Vehicle Wash Facilities at military installations. The coatings identified will double the pump service life, improving readiness for important tactical military vehicles.

Robert Mason, CTC, and Michael McInerney, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, co-wrote the article. They also created and delivered an award-winning presentation on this work at the Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference in August 2017. Their presentation was one of five winners, capturing first place in the facilities and infrastructure category.
