Concurrent Technologies Corporation’s Elizabeth Keysar, Ph.D., co-presented two sessions at the annual CleanMed conference in Nashville earlier this month.
CleanMed is the premier national conference for leaders in healthcare sustainability. The event brings together healthcare leaders to gather, innovate, and collaborate to develop new sustainability standards, practices, and products.
Dr. Keysar and fellow CTC energy and sustainability policy analyst Audrey Barrett attended CleanMed in support of the company’s U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) client, Kathryn Lahaye, Sustainability Program Manager for MEDCOM.
Dr. Keysar presented in these two sessions:
- Resiliency and Sustainability tied up in a LEED Platinum Bow – Addressing Mission Assurance within Army Medical Command (Her co-presenter was the hospital architect, Keith Holloway.)
- Using Organizational Theory to Overcome Challenges of Implementing Sustainability (The co-presenter was Bravo Company Commander at the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center at Fort Hood, CPT Kandice Reyes.)
According to CleanMed’s website, it is the only conference that connects those at the forefront of implementing revolutionary projects, green building design, and sustainable purchasing tailored to healthcare’s needs and goals. CleanMed also explores how health systems can partner with their communities to build physical, social, and economic conditions that support health, well-being, and justice.
