Johnstown, PA January 29, 2024

CTC’s Mike Tims, Advisor Engineer, presented about Novel Material Joints at the 47th Annual Composites, Materials, & Structures Conference CMS24 in St. Augustine, Florida. The paper was co-authored by Ken Sabo and Juan Valencia of CTC. Mike has contributed to and led technology advancements at Concurrent Technologies Corporation since the very beginning of the company more than 35 years ago.

He shared his expertise and the company’s accomplishments at CMS24, where attendees review and discuss advances in materials manufacturing processes for extreme environments. The event is attended by engineers, scientists, managers, and operational personnel from the turbine engine, aviation, missiles and space, and protective equipment communities, including Navy, Air Force, Army, MDA, NASA, DARPA, FAA, DOE, engine manufacturers, missile and aircraft manufacturers, commercial space companies, and material and component suppliers.

“It was a pleasure to discuss one of the company’s novel discoveries at this event, especially given the potential for implementing a new class of material joints” Mike said.
