Policy, Planning and Decision Support
CTC understands your critical issues and will serve as an objective advisor to analyze,
evaluate, and inform decisions regarding strategic alternatives. We are sought for
our ability to develop innovative and sound solutions to address complex energy
and sustainability issues, present and future. Using collaborative partnerships,
comprehensive research, strategic planning, and field experience, we inform the
development of energy and sustainability policies and design and implement effective
decision support tools.
Comprehensive Energy and Sustainability Implementation
CTC has the full spectrum of technical and advisory skills needed to implement energy
and sustainability initiatives. Our professionals have supported Army headquarters,
commands, installations, and contingency bases in the collection and analysis of
sustainability, operational, and cost metrics to identify opportunity areas, research
courses of action, and complete initial execution steps. CTC documents, analyzes,
and delivers solutions that support the military mission while reducing the environmental
footprint.
Strategic Communications
CTC collaborates with clients to design and execute effective communications strategies.
Our team works with organizational leaders and subject-matter experts to educate,
inform, and train key audiences in a systematic way. CTC has supported numerous
clients including Air Force Public Affairs. We developed a detailed Energy Action
Month communications plan and an energy communications toolkit containing fact sheets,
key messages, and a social media plan to help tell the energy story affecting airmen
from the flight line to the frontline.
Energy and Water Security Analysis
Energy Security Assessments (ESAs) provide ensured continuity of critical operations
by enhancing mission capability. CTC developed a classified ESA methodology that
identifies critical facilities/systems, the energy demand/infrastructure needs of
each, and plausible threats/energy security risks. CTC also developed an unclassified
Water Security Assessment methodology to ensure water concerns are part of critical
infrastructure planning. CTC worked with the OSD to pilot the assessment tool at
25 DoD installations.
Technology Transition Planning
CTC subject-matter experts partner with clients to evaluate technology solutions
that balance mission and performance requirements with life-cycle cost considerations.
CTC employs a multi-disciplinary team to understand the technical and programmatic
barriers to deploying innovative solutions. Working with the Department of Defense,
CTC’s engineers and analysts have supported deploying 11 renewable energy systems
for a total of 336 megawatts (MW) — 166MW solar, 50MW wind, 60MW biomass, and 50MW
biofuel capable.
